Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down ending of The Penguin.

The finale of the season is here and there's nothing now that can get in Oz's way.

Oop.

Obviously The Batman 2 is right around the corner and with the final episode we have a lot to talk about. Throughout this video we're gonna break it all down and talk about everything. Whether it's easter eggs, all the little details the finale pays off or just what we thought of it, this video will go through it all.

Heavy spoilers right from the off though as I want to immediately talk about that ending. If you haven't seen it then please turn off the video and go watch it because it's great. Please hit the thumbs up if you enjoy it and with that out the way, let's get into the breakdown.

Ok so we close out with several gut punches. I will talk about how we got to that point but yeah, its a incredible devastating ending.

Vic is dead, Sofias back in Arkham and Oz is living out an Oedopis complex. He's finally got everything he wanted or at least a simulation of it.

We close out with him and Eve dancing with Oz wearing his quintissential outfit. He has his classic tux, bow tie and Eve even has his cigarette in the holder from the comics. This is something Burgess Merediths incarnation used and its what his father Tucker had at the start of Batman Returns.

Matt Reeves was right about us not liking penguin at the end of the series. He’s a monster for what he did to Vic

Vic as a character is like us the audience. We try and understand and sympathize with people like Oz but at the end of the day they are villains.

It’s times like this when you remember that you’re watching a show about a literal supervillain.

His face while killing Vic was like a totally different person he literally transformed into his worst self.

It should be studied the way had us root for him for 6 weeks then magically made us despise his existence. Possibly TVs best villain rn.

The Bat Symbol at the ending be like
''I hope you enjoyed every moments because it is over''
Man cannot wait to see Bruce coming back as a bigger menace in The Batman 2

And that's how you do a villain story. Looking at you Joker 2.

I gave Oz too much credit thinking he’d likely be placed in a situation by Sofia or somebody where he HAD to kill Vic. Nope, he chose it just because he couldn’t handle having someone around that he cared about who also knew his most intimate secrets. Ice cold, fit for a penguin.

I think Sophia's analogy of the baby birds and the mother hit home with Oz and his own mother and was so on point

30:07 I think he took the money out of Vick's wallet to make it look like a mugging. He also took his ID so the police couldn't ID him right away.

They finally made a REAL villain. I went from liking him to pure resentment. Finally, someone to compete with Heath ledger’s Joker. And don’t act like he’s not on that level because you forget that it’s Colin Farrell. Thank you DC for actually making a villain that I hate.

I thought for sure Oz got the scars from Rex that night and he killed Rex and just strolled back like "Ma you want dinner?" Lmao

I am SO sad about Vic. Like we all saw it coming but he had such a great arc. Was hoping to see more of him in the future. 😢

Oz told you exactly why he killed Vic. If Vic had called him, “a great Boss” instead of “like family, ” he’d probably still be alive. Oz had already killed his actual brothers, so of course he killed his new brother (Vic).

I really like how vic barely even stuttered at the end, like when he stood up to the gangs. It really shows how far he came in this world and how he grew his confidence. Im so devastated that he died like that and am now a #1 penguin hater. 10/10 show for me.
