I’m 73 and I live on a small fixed income. If social security is gutted reality is I could easily become homeless as I do not have adult children to take me in. My life expectancy will be drastically shortened but before I would finally die I would obviously suffer. I worked hard all my life and paid into my social security. I only want to live the rest of my life in dignity.

So glad to hear the crime message explored. Yes, before the pandemic NYC was enjoying historically low crime. Gun control, community policing, and democratic policies got us there. Then gun sales spiked and ghost guns became a horrible factor. Covid created huge waves of generalized anxiety. Guns don't cure COVID, but fear sells guns. Republicans are selling fear and anger, not crime solutions. Top states in murder rate: Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, Alabama, Missouri, South Carolina, New Mexico, Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee.
