oh no... oh no. thats gonna be a mess. you should lay down a piece of felt, then add snow, it roughly sticks to it. and at the end of the year, you remove the fire hazards and can roll the felt up with minimal snow loss and less mess.

That's an interesting question. By that point in the video, there were no buildings at all, so I guess it would just be a field? But taking the question at face value, there could be buildings, just none of them residences. That would at least better fit the definition the definition of "village" (though it could never fit it perfectly). So I guess a village without houses could be a complex, like an office complex or an outdoor mall.
