Sapienza is the only fictitious mission title in the entire trilogy's main story arc. Everywhere else - Paris, Bangkok, Miami, Carpathian Mountains etc. are real places.

There is no town in Italy called Sapienza, but it does seem to be based partly on the real town of Amalfi and similar towns nearby. There is also a Sapienza University in Rome.
