She doesn't get the respect she deserves, Allyson Felix (who is great) gets loads of praise heaped upon her yet she's only won 1 Olympic gold in an individual event, Perec does the 200/400 double and it's like it's been forgotten how great she was.

And then Perec went on to win the 200M gold at the same games. Only one other athlete, Michael Johnson, has also accomplished this double. The two of them are in a very exclusive club.

Bravo à elle! Je l'ai toujours trouvée élégante, gracieuse et légère. Quelle grande et belle athlète! Merci.

So a few things:

- For once the Olympic channel did something right. A full track final, no commentary, no music, just the FULL RACE with introductions and the crowd.
- And finally we get this final after the IOC has been so strict and adamant on getting this race taking down off other YouTube pages. For some reason this and the 1992 Women's Final gets taken down so quickly.

Probably the actual World Record. The 47.60 is very questionable in my opinion
