Check out the trailer for the upcoming remaster of the 2002 squad-based third-person shooter survival horror video game developed by Night Dive Studios. The Thing: Remastered is a sequel to John Carpenter's classic 1982 horror film wherein Captain Blake of the United States Army Special Forces team is sent to the Antarctic outpost from the film to discover what happened to the research team while surviving against the titular shape-shifting alien. The original release of this game was CRIMINALLY underrated. Did everything other survival horror games were doing at the time but better imo. The squad mechanics alone were well ahead of their time and a fresh addition to the genre. CANNOT WAIT for this!

This deserved a proper remake with today's gaming and graphical technology with Kurt Russell and the rest of the surviving original cast. Also, maybe an Among Us style online multiplayer mode since this was the original Among Us.

I'm surprised this game is getting a remaster, thought it was long forgotten. Used to play this back in the day and scared me as a kid. Imagine if this game got the dead space remake treatment, it would be amazing. The atmosphere, environments, creature designs, sound design etc but a remaster is better than nothing and I'm looking forward to it.
