So the M5 G90 is a hybrid as most of us know. More specifically a “Plug-in hybrid”. So upon startup, it will start the electric motors first, so those are the ones ready first. Therefore u might hear a fan in the video, that is part of the hybrid system indicating the electric motors are ready to move. Once this battery is depleted, only then the combustion engine will start instead of the battery(or if there is an option to go combustion engine only).

Love to hear the argument that the direction of the newer cars are "good" for the environment, which is what all this electrification was meant to be about.

I bet the weight of these things could be easily cut in half if you removed all the tech that just isn't needed and you'd be left with far more affordable and less wasteful product.

i know that Mercedes has moved to a 4 cylinder in their “C63”, but theyve still managed to make it sound better than we wouldve expected. BMW here have made it sound like a standard 5 series rather than an M5
