Genuine Royal Enfield Classic 350 Handguards on the Classic 350!
I fitted these just to help prevent breaking a lever in the event of the bike falling over or a light tumble while gentle offloading to get photos or exploring WW2 sites of interest, and I am not sure wether to use these with just the mounting bars which will look more in theme with my bike or with the guards which will have the benefit of cool mornings in summer and rain as well as beaches etc off the beaten path, watch and let me know what you thinking the comments!, cheers Bruce

If you enjoyed this check out my playlist for my Royal enfield Classic 350, thanks!

I keep to the metal only so it doesn't detract from the period look too much, but then I'm a few hundred miles south of you so the cold is less of an issue. Great new graphics.

Off in the "summer" on in the colder 10 months of the year😄

Looks good with the full guard 🧐
(but what do I know, I used to fit wool-lined handlebar muffs on my bikes over winter...)

Morning Bruce. Full guard looks better in my opinion. You are way ahead of me in content waiting in the wings. I struggle to ride when it’s too hot, so I don’t have anything fresh to put out at the moment. I started storing my completed videos on an external hard drive, just in case YT goes belly up (it has been known). I have 500gb one which is almost full, so I bought a 1tb one which should store a fair few before I need to get another. Cheers

Loving your videos, great content. Much better than the tele👍👍. Maybe of interest to you, I've fitted the fuel x Pro to my classic 350, plus the decat pipe and the dna filter. I'm running the pro on position 4. The gearing is standard, I live in rural Brittany so I don't often get caught in traffic jams. On a run of 50 or 60 miles or so at 50 to 60 mph, my last two full tanks of petrol, the first I got 98 mpg, the second tank 100.3. I'm very impressed, it's moped fuel consumption.!! Thanks again for your videos, and have a great weekend 👍👍.

Me personally I don't like the design of the Royal Enfield OEM hand guards, I am however a fan of the practicality of having hand guards, when you blacked out the silver it definitely improved the look blends in well with the bike.

Army green for the silver bits, contrasting with the black on the rest of the guards ! 😉

Looks good with the full guards on, I'd go for that :)

Another vote for the full guards. You could have saved a ton of cash going 70's style using a large plastic bottle cut in half and some tape. I tried it once and the tape let go in the rain on the East Lancs. 🤠

Wow i thought i was the only one who did this modification glad that people are in to knuckle gurds on classic, the only different thing I did was I used the handle bar weights to fit the guard which comes when you buy the official royal enfield bar end mirrors as I couldn't find anything else to fit there and I am not using the plastic part of the guard as it looks more classy and lean on the reborn.

P.S. Beautiiful bike... mine is halcyon grey.

Personally I’m staying on tarmac so not worried by stones flying up. I tend to only put guards on in the winter instead of heated grips.
Those look neat, not out of place at all

I think they look better without the plastic, but why not have the wind protection? Tough call.
The metal bars look substantial, are they steel or aluminum?

Man, I really like every aspect of your RE Classic 350. The color, the tires, the front mudguard plate, the tank and rear mudguard racks... I think the handguards look great too, though I would go for a full one. I am searching in your channel to see if I can find how you managed to fix those pannier bags.

Bruce, do you happen to have a part number for the handguards? Thanks, USA Bruce

They look discrete enough to look fine on your bike, (as in I don't think my eye would be drawn to them). I'd keep the full guard on all year round, as they'll give some protection from rain. I know they are expensive but they look to be very good quality- would you mind sharing a link for them please? Thanks Bruce 👍

Keep the black part that you painted and the rest green to match your bike. 😊

Hi, i think you've got the best of both worlds, looks good without, but finger protection in winter or those early starters. (Half past five in the morning er night 🥴). SS

Many years ago i had guzzi breva 1100 and fitted simular type guards i intitionaly thought not best for windblast or crash damage ... BUT after a slow speed drop i had no broken levers better than nowt ...👍cheers dave....ps mates himalayan has same and seem to ok but REs accesory pricing is as bad as other manufacturers...😮

They look fine with and without the gaurds. I don't think Barkbusters would have suited the look of the bike.
Back in the days before plastic fairings some bikes were fitted with metal leg shields also 😊
