FOCUS!! I think received more comments about “focus” than on the actual content. It’s in focus. It’s an adapted lens plus an Orton effect because a) I was playing and b) it was 3am and I didn’t critically check it on multiple screens. I get it, it’s soft, y’all hate it, and many people are more interesting in criticizing my “focus” than discussing the content (its a friggin’ GH6, man!). Can we move past this please? I promise to never get fancy with focus effects again if y’all promise to stop telling me to drop everything and replace this video. Ok? Cool, thanks. Much appreciated.

I am not expecting much better autofocus performance, but my dream is that the GH6 will have IBIS and dual native ISO. Like, a combination of the gh5 and the gh5s.

I'm really excited to see this! I love my g9; just didn't want to put more money into a system at the end of its life! Lumix still has me as a hardcore M4;3 advocate

I hope the GH6 has some photography-focused features since it seems like my beloved G9 won't be getting a successor. I know the S5 form factor is small but the lenses are much bigger and more expensive with less options. I'd like to stick with M43 if I can.

Good summary. Joseph I wondered what your take is on RAW video with the GH6 and GH5 Mark II? Not much was mentioned about RAW video being a possibility on both cameras. Do you think the GH6 will likely have internal or external ProRes RAW? Do you think the GH5 Mark II will eventually get a ProRes RAW HDMI update like the GH5s?

Hey Joseph, thanks for this!! I'm especially excited about the almost-6k! My much-loved GH5s are getting long in the tooth, so maybe I can hold out and not switch to the Sony/Canon-verse. Can't wait to hear your updates - especially about low light and focus capabilities!. I have a question...is there a m4/3 equivalent to the classic 70-200 that's bright and fast? Or any plans for something like that? I love the focal length of my 14-140, but it's a bit soft, quite dark.

I wonder if these high framerates like 120fps at 4k with a reasonable bitrate will be enabled on the S5 as well... I prefer full-frame than m4/3 and wouldn’t want to “downgrade again” 😃

Question ! What has happend to the picture in booth videos GH5II and this about GH6, it looks horenduos (Europe/Sweden) with wrong colors and like solarisation over saturated (red/magenta) in the face ? What I know you look a lot better 🥰 . Just an information.

Hi Joseph, my friend I really appreciate you, but you are out of focus (and the same happens to me many times). PDAF is the only spec that needs to get improved. Everything else is just fantastic.
