I was certainly in the right place at the right time to get this shot at Llangynllo station on the Heart of Wales line. 950001 was operating the 2Q08 Landore to Shrewsbury via the Heart of Wales, which was running around 80 minutes early, occupying a slot that doesn't even exist in the WTT. As it was approaching the station, something very unexpected happened - a deer ran out across the line, making it across right in front of the train with less than a second to spare. The deer didn't seem at all fazed - not even five minutes after its near miss, it was happily wandering about on the same bit of track as though nothing had happened

That was a close call with that deer! The HOW line always looks good definitely need to ride down it one day
