I just reloaded TOPO ver 3.4.1 onto an old Windows XP mini Acer computer - and it seems to be working flawlessly! I love this because I still use an old Magellan Meridian Platinum GPS. I can load maps from the old Magellan Mapsent software which covers all 48 lower states. I can now download all the waypoints and tracks generated by the GPS. Newer is not always better!

There is a subreddit devoted to TOPO, and some states are on the internet archive
