I'm currently rotating the Rebel 4, Velocity Nitro 3, and Novablast 5 for daily miles. All are going well so far.

Ordered a pair of Evo SLs yesterday to take over my Novablast 4's as my new daily. Can't wait to try them.. and the midsole foam is exactly the same compound as the Pro 3 as opposed to the Pro 4.

Thanks for a great video Andy!

What happened to your Asics Noosa Tri 16?

Morning all. Great comparison. For my 65 kgs, I prefer the Novablast 5 ( daily trainer) and the saucony E. speed 4 ( race day). Like to Andy. Cheers.

Just got Evo SL and only done one tempo run so far but absolutely loved it, such a great feeling foam and toe-off. Slightly unstable at higher speed but then I was running on uneven paths for some of it. Can't wait to put some more miles through them.

The Match 6 is my favorite shoe. I have 800 km in them and the foam and rubber are still alive. Yes, they are not as responsive as they were in the beginning, but they still provide good cushioning for 2 hours / 22 km runs. In the first half of their life, I used them for everything. Easy running 5.50, steady pace 5.00 and intervals of 4.30, they did everything I needed. And the worst thing is that now there is essentially nothing to replace them with from the new models. They have everything - speed, rocker, good cushioning, and good stability. The upper is excellent and the fixation is one of the best I have ever had. I would gladly trade them for the Adidas Evo SL But their more aggressive geometry and less support bother me.

The Speed 4 ware my favourite trainers and worked so well I bought another pair after wearing them out. The 2nd pair I had just weren't as good and caused some heel pain.
I love the Hyperion Max 2 and got my 10k pb in them. Still loving the Noosa Tri too, I love them!!
I have some Evo SLs coming today, can't wait to try them.

Shout-out to the Puma Velocity Nitro 3. An amazing winter shoe with the Puma Grip. If they just made the upper a bit more breathable I'd be buying another pair for the warmer months.

I've enjoyed the Mach 6 for all my road runs for a while. Great shoe. Got a pair of the Saucony Speed 4 for £100 so giving these a go next

Just ordered EvoSL on discount £117, last one size 8, my Mach 6 still going strong, I got a wide fit as they are a narrow shoe.Waiting for Superblast 2 for over 6 months, can get them now but no discount, even with England athletics so it’s the EvoSL for me👍

Ask me few years ago and would have been Peg Turbo and the Speeds. I think daily trainer means different things. Often for us it is more lightweight uptempo shoes like the Evo SL or the ones I mention. I would also think of heavier less exciting shoes like the Pegasus or Vomero as daily trainers and the Novablast kind of feels “heavy” to me even if it is not. Of late if in doubt for longer runs or some sessions been using the Zoom Fly 6 if decide not to use an out and out super shoe. Have used the Evo SL or Novablast 5 for some mid week “easy” runs. Do a job for me but not massively excited by either.

I'm at 180km on the NB V5, and so far it's still going strong. But I can see how it will start to reduce it's responsiveness, but even then it's a great easy/recovery even strides and pure long run shoe.
Still can't get a pair of Evo SL's in Canada in my size. Need to ensure grabbing a pair at the Boston Expo is the first thing I do when I get there. As a few people have mentioned, the LS Pro in the Evo SL is supposed to be the same formulation as the Pro 3. The latest version of LS Pro sounds to be too squishy without a small stack or a stabilization agent (rods).
I'm done with anything Hoka that uses any formulation of EVA...I'd love to try their newer PEBA offerings....but why? Better shoes out there from other companies.
The SL2 was a tempting option, but again availability in Canada has been terrible, and with the Evo SL launch, not sure it still has a good enough role anymore.

I use the evo sl/ boston 12 / adios pro 3
Or the invincible run 3/ zoomfly 6 and the vaporfly next 2% but most of the time i am picking adidas atm..
I love zoomx also but afther a while it fatieks me a lot more than lightstrike pro dous… i think its becouse lightstrike is bouncy and zoomx is squichy ..

In the final stages of training for Brighton Marathon (2 weeks to go!) Rotation has pretty much been:

Easy/Long: Mizuno Neo Vista (over 200 miles in it and still going strong)
All rounder/work outs: Puma Deviate Nitro 3 (that shoe really can do a bit of everything)
Race: Hoka Cielo X1 (buying up as many pairs as I can before it disappears!)

I have the Novablast 5 as my do it all daily trainer, but I do have the Brooks Hyperion Max 2 for my 5K/10K races.

Prefer that provides more cushioning which is Asics Novablast 5.

I'm gonna give Brooks a try all the brands are skimping out on durability it seems and that's all a regular jogger should care about I want my 350 gram 5 year lifespan tank
