The only way he lost was because of the plot . Bro had to lose or he will wipe out more than half of the Hashiras if he went serious. Someone who is nearly 500 years old and 2nd strongest DS only 2nd to Yorichii and also combining with the blood demon art he possessed can't just lose like that to three Hashiras and a Genya. They had to nerf him.
