What's next?

I keep finding myself spending more and more time on comics and less time on these daily videos - which is impacting their quality and usefulness. But at the same time, I like the idea of holding on to my uploading streak! It's a conundrum.

I'm thinking it might be time to revisit the whole "Ideal Day" situation....

i wondered how you were able to manage your days with this kind of challenge, and still enjoy.

one key to happiness is diversity, and so it makes the perfect sense to try and find new ways to better enjoy your time.

this does proove your statement about not trying to promote hustle culture, cause even though you take the challenge on yourself to do this, you still prioritized your personal well being over "creative posessions" which can be very demanding

I’ve felt exactly what you’re talking about recently with the “compose 31 pieces of music in 31 days” challenge I just started on my YouTube channel (only 5 days in so far)
I spend my day composing, spending a good deal of time worrying about getting a few camera angles, and then I have to spend hours editing the video once I’m done.
Though the YouTube videos are helping to keep me motivated, it basically means that I spend my entire day doing those 2 things, and I don’t leave much time for working on paying music projects, or anything else. Haha.
But I’m gonna try to keep it up until the end of March. After that, I could see myself doing exactly what you’re talking about doing.
Anyway, sorry for the long rambling comment. I love your videos, and I can’t wait to see your comic book one day!

I'm so happy you are moving to comics. You will become addicted to it, it's the best! I could see you combining comics with your videos either by animated like your previous ones or by vlogging your progress on the comics. It's a lot of work but it's a career you have a lot of creative control over without having to worry about budgets or big teams. I worked part time making comics for quite a few years before I was able to do it full time. It's worth it, best career, I can't imagine doing anything else. I hope you start, I can tell you will be good at it.

Would you feel comfortable (or interested in) streaming some of the creative process? Just sketching even. It might be a way you can capitolize on your work from a different angle while making more casual informative content. It probably feels lazy compared to what you've been putting out lately, but less effort doesn't necessarily mean less value.

Change is a big part of life, and it's not a one time thing. I think you succeeded in challenging yourself and going trough it and learning a lot from it, but if you can't see any long-term value in it anymore, then I think the best is putting your energy and time into the next best option (which is comic at the moment and all the things you can learn from it)

as a follower, I completely support your decisions, although I know it's hard to break the habit of watching Leifie everyday at 4:30 pm (my local time) :')
