Absolutely generational and my favorite artist. The blues at it's best. You feel it deep into your soul.

My first experience with Chris was him at a songwriter's convention where he performed the song "Whiskey and You". I remember thinking "How does this guy not have his own record deal?". I was blown away with his voice.

Well music provides an avenue to expresses yourself, even if I am not talented. Chris is the epitome of expressing emotion through voice.

I'm 62 years old. Every girl I dated including my wife of 39 yrs had "our song". The song writing in this piece is brilliant! Music informs so many different emotions and memories.

Saw him in Virginia Beach a few years ago, he did a 22-song set and IT WAS GOOD, VERY GOOD! His wife, Morgane, got the loudest ovation during the band introductions. Chris keeps her stage-front, right where she belongs. Some "Must-Listen" suggestions: Either Way/I Was Wrong/ Amanda/Fire Away/ Death Row/ Sometimes I Cry/ Fool Me Again, and Whiskey and You. Amanda is a great song that highlights Morgane's sweet background vocals. Great reaction, TY.

My wife & some friends went to highschool with Chris. And we live in his hometown of Paintsville Ky. I've never met him but I've never heard a bad word about him from anyone, anywhere. He seems to be as much a genuinely good guy and person as he is a singer and performer.

I remember all the songs my high school girlfriend and I listened to in the car when we would just cruise around. That was...22 years ago now? Shit. I haven't seen her since then, but part of me really wants to know what she listens to now.

I am a straight man who has no shame in saying I have a man crush on Chris Stapleton.

You would be the perfect person to react to Tom Waits' "Chocolate Jesus, " live on Letterman. I believe you'd never forget the performance, and I'd love to see and hear your response to it.

Lara had a #1 pop dance hit that sat at the top of the US charts for like a year in the early 90s, “I will love again”. Also on this song in particular Josh Groban covered it in the US and had a massive hit with it. That maybe where some of your familiarity comes from.

There's only three singers I am willing to pay over $100 a ticket for. Chris Stapelton, Jamie Johnson and Allison Krause. Try Fire Away by Chris, Lead Me Home by Jamie, and The Lucky One by Allison
