so on my website i have a forum but anybody can post anything even non-members and I really need a forum like this but I don't have the money for it is there any way I could get it for free instead of a 14 day trial then pay?

Discourse seems to be awesome. I know from other people's videos.

But: Companies need to insist on good audio for their creators. It's almost 2025. This just doesn't fly anymore. I don't even wanna watch this video. Even some phones have better audio nowadays.

The video did a really bad job of demoing the tool.

Half of the video was about the chat while the core feature of discourse are posts.

For the rest of the video it just showed *what* is being done. Not what it means and *why* you would do that.

For example, whe adding a whisper there were hashtags added. But what does that do? How are hashtags used in discourse? Are they special search filters? Why are there different *types* of hashtags?

I watched the 15minutes of the video and have now more questions and still feel uninformed about the tool 😢
