American Revolution Oversimplified (Part 1) Reaction

Oversimplified explains the American Revolution. Simple history, no literary recommendation from me today. Don't worry about the background.
*Boston was in the Massachusetts Bay colony, I likely misunderstood him.

Bit expansion: On July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, Adams died of a heart attack at Peacefield at approximately 6:20 pm. His last words included an acknowledgement of his longtime friend and rival: "Thomas Jefferson survives." Adams was unaware that Jefferson had died several hours before.

One thing that surprised me was that even though I have loved history all my life, just a year or 2 ago, I learned that Boston still celebrates the evacuation of British troops during 1776 on Mar 17 and is known as Evacuation Day and is celebrated to this day.

"Cliches Related to Tension:" That brought a chuckle. With "Oversimplified" videos the tongue is always firmly in the cheek. Education and entertainment simultaneously.

Some of Adams’ last words the day he died were, “…Jefferson survives…” ignorant of the fact Jefferson died earlier that day

Leifur Eirikson was the "first" European to discover the American continent and then had the good sense to forget about it. 😁

It's in the word, "Discover." Dis-cover. To reveal.

The Vikings did not reveal, they merely found. Columbus discovered.

I have been watching your videos for a while now and i must say, not only are you a beautiful looking woman, but the knowledge you have of so many different topics impresses me.
I guess, reading books instead of watching movies shows off in the end :)
I really love your videos, and the no introduction is just great!
Lots of love from Sweden.

You should do 'The Emu War' by Oversimplified. It's great and very funny.

I believe the best way to ingest the Oversimplified videos is like viewing a springboard of a specific time and place with your ooky kooky mate, who won't stop speaking for about an hour....

This is very near and dear to my heart. I have ancestors of my paternal grandmother (Putnam) that go back to way before the Revolutionary War on the North Shore of Massachusetts (as far back as Ann Putnam...one of the girls that started the Salem witch hysteria, which actually started in Salem Village, now Danvers, not the city of Salem). One of my ancestors was General Israel Putnam, who said "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes" at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
