I can confirm this technique works on the atlas 2019 and this garage door remote.

My garage door opener is maybe 10 years old and I couldn’t get my 2023 GTI to work with homelink. Any ideas? I have read there’s a step that has to do with the button on the opener, etc. Has anyone done it? 😁

Does not work. I had to download an app then it recognizes the garage remote, mirror, and garage door opener. It gives you a process in which the phone will tell you if it recognizes the connection.
