I loved cheer leading, did it for more than half of my life. Gave all that I had for it. Bragged so much that “yeah, I’m on the towns team.” Growing up, this was my last year doing it and it’s all because of my coach and her family who came in and ruined the program. She verbally abused us and ruined my self esteem and worth. I’m so glad that I’ll never have to cheer for her again. I miss my old coaches, coach crystal, coach Lauren, coach lydecker, coach Angela (my mom), and coach Madeline. God, I’m not going to miss Coach G.

that’s why my favorite sport is skiing. I do a ton of sports but nothing can beat freedom, no rules (other than basic skiing etiquette) and it’s just so fun. i’ve had so many bad experiences with coaches and teachers (even in skiing I almost quit)

Same I played basketball for 8 years. My team had won 3 championships. I was small forward (or a 3) averaging 10 points a game. My coach told me I was good enough for AAU. The next season the same coach sat me down on the bench for entire games. I’m in high school now and I quit bc I hate it.

so relatable oml. our vb coach was like that, it was my first yr playing vb ever and i was put on varsity and made my time miserable. i was benched all season but he still made me feel horrible if we lost a game, along with the whole team. 3 of our players quit, and we only had 2 SUBS. he would tear down our libero and tell us he had to work with what he had (since its a private school and there was not many players) and that he would never choose any of us except the setter. he was self centered and talked about himself for 20 mins every practice. our team had to have private conversations and use code words because he would get in our head and we would let balls drop because we were unmotivated. we were afraid of him and if he asked if he was a good coach everyone would say yes although we knew we were lying. luckily before our last three games our sports director fired him, but it didn’t change that half of us lost our love for volleyball. now i would probably never play volleyball again even though ik it was his fault 😭

I played basketball from 1st-7th grade and I quit because every adult made it abt winning and I would get nothing but “you need to be more aggressive” from everyone when on the court I was aggressive. Now I can’t stand to play, but when I watch, people say”why aren’t you on the court?” BECAUSE OF YOU BRITNEY 🙂

Fr. I had this coach and she was always pushing us, she made me throw up after practice once because I play vball and she made us run a whole bunch of suicides bc we didn’t clean up after a tournament (when it was the other teams) I still play but don’t rlly like it anymore.
