The concept he’s talking about is true, generally speaking the guys that you see riding around in the company trucks for the construction companies they work for are making really good money. I dropped out of school when I was 14 years old. My sister was college “HR” educated and works for a police department. My mom was a nurse. My cousin is an executive at one of the largest medical facilities in the United States.

They all started out making more money than me, but ultimately, I make a lot more money than they do these days.

There is a significant amount of money in skilled labor trades as long as you continue to grow, develop and learn how to step up to the next level.

However, the biggest adversary to skilled labor is the United States government. Every year they seem to pass a law making it harder to do a good job and make a good wage.

Justin grew up in a neighboring town to me. He’s not wrong, lots of plant laborers and construction workers. Plenty of turnaround and patch guys too. Only way for most of them to climb up is to make your way to foreman, operations manager or project manager.
