Imagine if in the future updates that the crafting table allowed us to upgrade furnace minecarts by adding levers, there would be a three speed control (slow, normal and fast) as well as reverse mode. And adding buckets of water to make the carts move more powerfully.

FINALLY SOMEONE FIGUIRED IT OUT. Everyone complains that you can't make a train using the coal cart.

This works, and another way to ensure nothing is left behind is to use two coal carts one in the front and one in the back. Although turns most likely will still take the train apart. I think i haven't tried it in years, could you try it to make sure?
