I have the 41ah battery and I highly recommend it, I will put 28 miles on it with a 50/50 mix normal and performance mode and still have 2/3 battery (78 volts) charge remaining. The 41ah battery is also self balancing.

iirc, Someone at Onyx had mentioned that the default Controller settings are optimized as high as possible while still providing the smoothest ride so changing settings any higher will potentially provide issues and would need preventive measures to maintain those higher values with Hubsinks/Thermal Cooling
