Just based off of what I’ve heard/seen from ND, she wanted this palette to go along side Glam…which I could tooootally see now that I’ve seen swatches. I always look at her mini and midi palettes as companions, kind of like how the mini gold and large gold weren’t alike but went well together. ND also said she isn’t done with the retro line, so fingers crossed something green is in our future. I honestly just want a green/khaki themed palette from her 😅

On her IG she said the retro line is not done and we should wait for greens "they are coming"(she saw how many people were wanting greens in this palette). She said she has one more release for this year but didn't say if it will be a retro. Im guessing after so many people wanted a midi retro to look like the mini we will get one next year. She also said she wanted a mauve color story.

Just started watching. Have to say right away that the eye look you have created is the most flattering I have seen on you in recent weeks (maybe months?). On my IPad screen, the shades complement your skin tone perfectly - and impart sultriness (in my day, we called it « bedrooom eyes »). I just received mine as I was watching! This palette looks much better in person than on-screen - I think it’s the most cohesive palette I have ever bought - beats DR1 (no gold, no ultra fallout shimmer, etc.). I have the glam palette, and I agree with your assessment that for someone who loves the glam palette, this retro palette seems to be as good (better in my opinion with respect to shade curation). I think I read or heard that this is the “retro” or romantic version of glam. They both have those cool tone vibes. It seems whenever she comes out with a mini before the midi, folks think the color stories are not aligned. I’m actually glad this didn’t look like the retro mini because that would have never worked for me even though it looks soooo beautiful on more fair skin tones than mine. I actually ordered the midi Retro the day it was made available on Sephora’s app as a rouge exclusive and it arrived packaged sooo lovely! I think they are getting better with their packaging or it may be a requirement from the brand.

I think if you would blow that light pink out into your outer crease higher and more diagonally, it would would look really pretty! I have hooded eyes too and I find it makes it so you can notice the crease colour so much more when my eyes are open and contour the eyes more, and I just love the look. I find it makes my eyes look wider and more like a cat eye look when I blow it out on the outer corner more and less on the inner corner
