How to Make a Steering Bar for Kicker Motor

In this video we walk through how we made our own steering bar for our kicker motor on our boat. It is extremely easy to make and cost effective and made it so much easier to troll on our boat.

Nice job! Couple of comments: 1. MAPP gas heats much hotter and would make the bending easier. 2. The steel retaining clips on the end of the Panther quick disconnects are shit steel and rust readily, definitely a weak link (I've lost the spring and connector on 2 sets, including one "stainless steel" set). Thanks for the great idea.

I didn't get a very good look at it, but it looks like the rod you made interferes with the large motor in a left turn.
