Food for thought… Pecan is a Native American word, and each tribe had a slightly different pronunciation the further you were from the source of where pecans grew. By saying PEcan or PAcon technically denotes which tribe your region learned the word from and how close they were to the source.

I’m so glad you guys are from Jersey. As a NYr here, at least you pronounce these things right. Now, I’m not saying NJ does everything right, because we all know thats not true, but at least you know how to talk right.
