I'm European (Scandinavian) and I really don't care if we are a continent or not. I don't know anyone who would care at all

The original video contains many inaccuracies or straight out wrong information.
e.g.

21. Disney Paris is *not* the "most visited location" in Europe (however you define "location" in the first place). Eurodisney consists of several parts - and Disney happily counts visitors separately for each, thereby inflating the numbers.

18. Belgium does of course *not* have the longest rail network in the world. That statement is just ridiculous, countries like China, India, Russia, the US, ... obviously have *much* longer rail networks. Belgium used to have the longest rail network *per* *area* (i.e. km of track per square-km of land), but has recently been overtaken in this by Czechia as well.

16. Greece has entered the chat...

There's a ferry boat going from southern Spain to Morocco. It takes around 30 minutes to go from one side to the other. But technically, you can go from Spain to Africa in literally 0 seconds, since Spain has 2 autonomous cities in Africa (Ceuta and Melilla) and the Canary Islands belong to Africa's continent aswell, but they are Spain's territory. Northern Africa, or all the countries in Africa that are mediterranean (Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, etc) share common history with Europe since thousands of years ago (the roman empire, the north african muslim empire, etc). It's not like Africa its an isolated place whatsoever. Subsaharian Africa though, it is isolated from Northern Africa because of the Sahara desert. It would be great if you could react to some videos of US citizens living abroad in Spain :D

Are you upset that the U.S. is not a continent? As a European I don't care.

23. That's because it was invented in Berlin, if we talk about the Döner variety served in a pita bread. Berlin has the biggest Turkish community outside of Turkey, with more than 100, 000 Turkish nationals and another estimated 100, 000 German nationals of Turkish descent.
21. See the comment by Stephan Weinberger. Disney Paris tries desparately to appear more successful than it is by counting visitors twice and threefold. And there is also the question how you define "location" - is a "location" only a place where you have to pay an entrance fee?
18. Stephan Weinberger is fully correct in this. Germany e.g. has 38, 400 km of used railways (before 1994 it were even 44, 600 km), but the overall density is smaller than in Czechia or Belgium.
16. What country? Can't really understand the name. It could be Bulgaria - the first Bulgarian Empire was founded around 630 in the place where we find Ukraine now, replacing the Greek-Roman Regnum Bospori. As it ended around 670, Bulgarians emigrated to the Balkans, where they founded around 678 a new Bulgaria together with Thrakians, Slavs and Roman descendants. But the borders of that country were very movable, and it was occupied by Byzantium during the 10th century. There were some uprising in the following centuries (the first suppressed by the Byzantine Varangian guard commanded by Harald Hardråde who became later King Harald III of Norway); the uprising 1185-1187 however led to the Second Bulgarian Empire. End of the 14th century it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire and became a province of that empire for about 500 years. There are some countries however like Greece / Hellas which became part of other countries for some time and were then restored with their old name, or countries which got their name changed by foreigners only.
10. That is because of multiple interruptions of construction. It was planned as campanile (a standing alone bell tower) for Pisa Cathedral. After 12 years construction time they had build three floors as the tower began leaning to the side and construction was stopped for 100 years. Then the next four floors were built at an angle, followed by another construction stop. In 1372 the bell chamber was finished.

Belgium doesn't have the longest rail network in Europe.
Germany has over 30, 000 km, France around 25, 000 km.

Bulgaria is not the oldest Country in Europe, it's the 2nd oldest: San Marino was founded in 301 CE. The oldest Country in the world, however, is Japan, founded in 660 BCE.
