Big Joanie live at Best Kept Secret - Muziekgieterij stage - Heaven Sessions

Only two hours after landing at Schiphol Airport, London-based black feminist punk band Big Joanie arrived at the Muziekgieterij stage at Best Kept Secret festival. They were ready to rock and soon after gave a blistering set of 4 songs for Heaven Sessions. Weeks without rain made for an almost desert like scenery, with blazes of fine sand passing the stage. An eager crowd thoroughly enjoying the music nonetheless. Right after the session presenter Ludo Diels talked to bassist Estella Adeyeri about the the importance of the DIY community, conceptions of home and touring in the USA.
