As a German I think it is weird to say the bread slicer is unusual 😅

Those duck/heart/bear molds aren't really meant for food. They were made to make snowballs. As for why TikTok people make it look easy, it's because a lot of them are faked. Anyone interested how should check out the How to Cook That channel's Debunked series. She tries the method, and when it inevitably fails, she explains why.

my mum used one of these bread slicers up until the late 90s. it was a very common thing to have in the GDR. you could find it in basically every household. of course it was very cheap back then. $200 is ridiculous.

A 7/10 for that dumpling maker was GENEROUS 💀 wrong size, didn’t work with either thickness of dough, 2/10

In the hot pot. First place your ingredients in the serving bowl. Then put the heating element in the bottom of the cook bowl then add water. Cover and wait set time. Kids would love the noodle slide!

The first one reminds me of both the deli slicer and the kitchen mandolin, which are famous for demanding blood from their users.

The heating pack is basically a chemical battery that gets shorted out by the water you add, generating a bunch of heat. If the reaction is sluggish you can add a bit of salt to the water to make it more electrolytic.

I have the lunch box that heats up but mine has an insert that comes out and takes about an hour to heat my food. It plugs in and is called a microwave lunch box for about $40!

My dad was in the military and they have those self heating packs for all of their food. They can be dangerous if you don't do them properly, so having them readily available, probably would not be a good thing.

He told me when they used to get bored in the desert during deployment they would put whatever's in the packs and soda bottles and they would stretch out like 20+ feet.😂

For the butter bear, try running the outside under hot water or dip it in warm water for a very short time (not long enough for the whole thing to melt but just long enough to warm up all of the mold) for a short time before opening it. It will slightly melt the layer that is stuck to the mold just enough to loosen it and hopefully let it come loose from the mold properly rather than pull apart when you do open it

Liziqi made a lazy river table from scratch for her food. It worked so well.
The bullet train would be fun if you have children.
The dumpling maker was something I had high hopes for; too bad it was a failure.

Both the noodles ‘fountain’ and ‘river’ are great during summer. You can add ice cubes into the water so that the noodles will be cold when you eat them. You can add fruits, cucumber or carrots letting them ‘float’ in the river while you have dips in the serving bowls.

The self heating lunch box would have been great in school! Not having to run in line for the microwave is a dream haha

The first one is pretty common in Germany. My grandma used to have one

for the self heating hotpot, I think they just take chemicals and add water to create an exothermal redox reaction which produces heat! very cool!
