Oh My Love - John Lennon
Показать описание
“Oh My Love” was released in 1971 on the Imagine album by John Lennon. Written by Lennon and Yoko Ono, the song was originally written in 1968 with different lyrics and demoed for use in the White Album.
The rewritten song was to become the final recording for the Imagine album, based around the cosmic feeling of finally understanding the meaning of love.
George Harrison contributed guitar on the track, specifically echoing his style from “Julia” and “Happiness Is a Warm Gun”.
The album would go on to top the Billboard chart.
Excerpt:
Oh my love for the first time in my life
My eyes are wide open
Oh my lover for the first time in my life
My eyes can see
