Every Single Character That Abandoned Chloe In Miraculous Ladybug

Chloe Bourgeois is a character with a lot to make up for. She spends her run throughout Miraculous Ladybug, making those around her miserable. She attempts to sabotage anything that could make her classmates happy, and although she has good moments, she always reverts to her undesirable behavior. After a while, the patience of those around her begins to fade. As Chloe takes an antagonistic role in the series, she loses friends, family, and the people she once looked up to. In today’s video, we’re reviewing everyone who abandoned Chloe and why.

Don't forget the first character
that ever abandoned Chloe:
*Thomas Astruc*

Chloe had so much potential that got squandered. I was so happy when she was offered the Bee Miraculous because that was the opportunity for her to show she was capable of growing as a person/character and becoming a genuinely good person, friend, and hero, but then the showrunners ruined it.

Chloé being sent to live with her mother is the stuff of nightmares. Audrey’s practically Chloé all grown up. So if living with her mother doesn’t make her finally shape up, nothing will.

Thomas Astruc is the Puppet Master... He made the characters turn their backs on Chloe by pulling the strings because he's not a fan of her... He did a "great" job turning the fans against her too... Guess what, Thomas... I'm still a fan of Chloe no matter how she'll be written as in future season(s) and honestly, I miss her as Queen Bee. She still has so much potential... I won't give up on Chloe and neither should her remaining fans who hoped/are still hoping for her character development. Chloe may be put on a bus-- I mean plane for now, but I feel she'll return one day. Question is will she be humble and change for the better or continue to be hateful & despised by everyone?

Also included on this list: Astruc for tearing down all character development and “insisting” that she remain as irredeemable as possible

Chloe is wasted potential like everything else in this series.

Most of these I can forgive, but not André. Parents have special obligations to their children and he's directly responsible for her poor behaviour.

I feel like Chloe should've stayed as an anti-hero, It could've made the story more interesting

It’s a shame. Chloe showed when she gets the right push, she can be a better person. Like Malediktaor was the perfect start towards her redemption and she even apologized near the end of Queen Wasp for her actions and even confessed to Ladybug and despite their rivalry, Marinette trusted Chloe with the Bee Miraculous to help save her dad. I’m not hating Zoe, but she literally came out of nowhere

You forgot to mention the most important person who 'abandoned' her. THOMAS ASTRUC. He forced her to lose ALL of the good traits and personality complexes we saw of her during S1, 2 and 3 to become a soulless monster with no redeeming features. This was done with no explanation or build-up, as if he didn't trust Lila to be the 'bad girl' of the show after all.

He even created the deathly dull Mary Sue 'Zoe' to replace her as QB, and even made an entire stupid retconning flashback episode to further demonise her. This once promising character has been totally RUINED by the show's creator, and quite honestly I'm glad she's leaving the series now. Poor girl could do with a break... :/

Found a fanfic called "Queen Redux" (yes, the title is what it implies).

However, here's what makes it good. While the first two chapters make clear the redemption premise was the initial main cause, onwards, the author makes an effort to balance Astruc's vision with what he lacked in the first place from season 2 forward. Good writing.

Basically, the fanfic is somewhat the show's retell/slight retell from "Style Queen" forward, if it had good writing and Chloé (and the rest of the Bourgeouis) didn't suffer character assassination. Others exist, but fot the moment, this is the one I'm gonna focus on reading for the foreseeable future.

I truly recommend it because, among other things such as less childish writing, Ladybug and Chat Noir, after "Anansi", start getting more balanced in power.

Read it when you have the chance.

I hate how they made Gabriel live happy even though he could have killed millions, and made Chloe have the worst ending by leaving with her abusive mom :/

The thing that irks me the most about Chloe not being Queen Bee anymore is the excuse. Ladybug says “I can’t let you be Queen Bee anymore because Hawk Moth knows your identity”. Then why could Kagami continue being a superhero (someone who was a considerable past rival to Marinette)? Why could Luka? Why could Alya and Nino? For cripes sake, Kim, who caused Marinette to be traumatized with confessing love, still continues to be a superhero. I don’t see the logic behind Ladybug’s excuse, because if she really followed through with it, the entire OG miraculous team would be different. You can just tell that Ladybug is being biased and rather petty towards Chloe just because of their past. I won’t deny that Chloe was awful to Marinette. But she’s a teenager, and teenagers are problematic (the same can be said for Marinette’s behavior towards Adrien in S3 and S4 especially). And secondly, Kim also did something bad, but Marinette still have him his miraculous back. If that’s not cherry picking I don’t know what else is. Chloe had the potential to change but Thomas Astruc just had to let his own personal preference get in the way.

It's actually beyond revolting that the show is sending Chloe off to live with Audrey.
As much as y'all try to dispute or excuse this, Chloe IS A VICTIM OF ABUSE. Just because Chloe is a mean person does not mean the abusive actions of BOTH her parents should be overlooked, especially considering that Audrey and Andre are QUITE LITERALLY THE REASON SHE IS THE WAY THAT SHE IS. Audrey is the most obvious perpetrator, being emotionally absent and verbally abusive, and essentially seeing no value in her own daughter other than just that fact that Chloe is her daughter, and some of y'all need to understand that Andre isn't any better just because he's the "better" parent. He enables Chloe's abusive tendencies towards others, but also does nothing to help her or even seems to care about her in the way a father should, he just buys her stuff in the hopes that it fills the broken heart Audrey has left her with. Not to mention he's nothing but a fat coward, because if he truly did love Chloe and want her to be happy, HE'D LEAVE AUDREY. It's not like he doesn't have the money or finances to do it, HE'S THE MAYOR. If anything, divorcing Audrey would be a cakewalk because his status as the mayor would make the separation be more in his favor.
The way this show has handled Chloe as an abused child is revolting, as is how they handled EVERY child of abuse in this show, from Chloe to Adrien, and Thomas Astruc is an absolute miserable sack of garbage for a writer.

André is like the most ridiculous one because he literally is the main reason Chloé ended up as she is and he even is a fucking CORRUPT MAYOR and he just goes “I’m swrry” and everyone just forgives him like that? What?

It’s not abandoning, more like cutting their losses. You can’t reach out to these people until they’ve hit rock bottom and by then you’ll lose all interest.

I love that scene where Marinette uses Chloé own catch phase against her. That was the final blow where Chloé finally realizes she’s reach total rock bottom.
