Smart Race

Just a quick overview on what I intend to use it for as it has a lot more options for the digital racers. I will mainly use the app for the analog counter feature and the nice database option it has.

I also use SmartRace, but I only use it for digital. Being a noob is there an advantage to using it for analog or just another option for analog?

Tried this app on my 4 lane HO track. Tried so many things to really make it reliable and just never got there. Fun for fast laps, it not for a race… we really tried hard. Just thinking it might be better with 1/32 because “bigger car” and “wider spacing”. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We tried the timing app, and it was too finicky for us across the number of home tracks we race on. Bump the table, and it counts a lap, for instance. I think on my next track, I’m putting up a light bridge as the reflective beam hack on my TEK-Slot is not as reliable as I had hoped either.

While using it in the analog mode, could you use a camera that is connected to your computer instead of the iPad?
