Slow start was a game changer for us! My friend is a genius tho. Instead of starting with curriculum we already know (like I was doing), we started with the stuff that was new and added a new one in at a time. So much more helpful!

One at a time is such a great idea!! Thank you for this. I’m trying rainbow science with my dyslexic son this year. It’s completely new to us so we might start with that first. We’ve been doing math a few days a week over the summer.

Thanks for talking about HOD. I found it because of you and bought Bigger for my 8 year old. We just started and he loves it. I can already tell it is bringing more joy to learning.

THANK YOU for the reminder about it taking a few weeks to figure out a good schedule, I've been stressing about it the last few days!

We slow start also. We start with our Sonlight History/Bible/Literature first (because it has the most lessons to get through), then we’ll be starting Language Arts, Math and Science. Last, we will start our Enrichment studies. ❤😊 Love your thinking process!

We do a slow start as well. Today is our first day of school. I enjoy being able to feel things out and gradually increase what we are doing.

We also do a slow start - my 11th grader has struggled this year thus far.... I hope we can get a good rhythm soon!

We are not fully starting until September. Starting reading and vocab next week and testing new schedule
