The Maven Adviser calls J L Collins' 'The Simple Path To Wealth' the greatest personal finance book ever, and I'm inclined to agree. Here's my review of the book.

I finished this book about a month ago. A very good one indeed (though I read nothing else of that type to compare it against). The only inconvenience for me was what you mentioned about being too US-centric and I think this should've been made clearer in the title or book description on Amazon. Also hammering the same point about simplicity and index funds over and over got a bit after a while. But all-in-all this was definitely an enjoyable and informative read (that actually re-inforced some of my ideas about investing, Vanguard, and financial advisors!).

Hey Pete. I’ve read your book and JL Collins book. Both were excellent in different ways and helped me extend my financial confidence and build a plan for the future that I’m confident with. A year ago I really didn’t have a clue. Now my friends and family are coming to me for financial advice! I usually just send them onto yourself, Dave Ramsey and JL Collins. Thanks for all the help. ✌🏽

JL rules. He is especially for ordinary guys like me who aren't into day trading and don't want to house hack or go out of their way to do loads of busy stuff outside their routines...

Pete, you've convinced me to buy the book, but there's no link on YouTube! 😟

I personally hated The Simple Path to Wealth, although I appreciate that as a DIY investor and financial geek it's not aimed at the likes of myself. Much preferred Andrew Craig's "How To Own The World", who I know you have interviewed (and especially with its UK tilt).
