Chapter 19: The Future of Macroeconomics

This chapter looks ahead to changes in macroeconomics, which are happening, but slowly. Economists are questioning the reliance on GDP (output) as the primary measure of theory and policy success. There also appears to be a rebirth (modestly) in the “old” institutional economics perspective that faded away for many years.
