This is about a Gangsta that has been hurt physically or spiritually Blue in a sense means (Sad) hence the title Blue Gangsta and this song in specific is about Diana Ross also you did the right thing reacting to this version cause the one they released MJ wasn’t involved in also it’s overproduced Sony Bullcrap the Original Demo for “Blue Gangsta” hits different and you can hear MJ’s true vision of the track even MJ’s unreleased material is better than the majority of Music Artists entire discography and this was recorded in 1999 during the Invincible album recording sessions which took place between October 1997-October 2001🙌🏽👑💙🔥✨💯

For Mj most of his albums get cut in half with tracks. If the cd has 15 tracks there were 30 to begin with. Crazy. Unique production as always.

his last posthumous album “Xscape” that came out in 2014 has this song along with 5 other original demos that really hit the spot and your soul. Out of all 5 other songs on the album i would suggest you react to Slave to the Rhythm, just like all his great songs he paints a picture and tells a story with it and it’s one of my favorites to be honest
