How to KNOW if it’s God’s DESIRES or your own…

To know if it’s God’s desires or yours depends on what the motive and outcome lead to satisfying… the flesh or the spirit? The flesh is the worldly desires, the things that most people call the “norm” in this world but go AGAINST God’s word. Following this means you live in the flesh. This means when you’re following God’s principles, you’d be going against MOST if not all of the world's principles thus you’d be living in the spirit which pleases God.

Also, another thing to keep in mind is the long-term outcome. Although we do not know what the future holds and what our outcomes will be. It’s important to know what’s being satisfied in the present… flesh or spirit?

I've been feeling useless these days -for God and my family. I assessed my life as a Christian and I feel like I'm one of those who are like the soil where the cares of the world choke the word and became unfruitful. I feel so stuck but then I'm pretty much aware that God knows that I'm not ready yet for what He wants me to do for Him. I'm in the desert right now. My character is going backwards, everyday, my patience is being tested, and then I would end up crying and feel helpless. I just asked the Lord how was He able to swallow up all the hurting words and whatnot. I keep saying that "Love records no wrong" but then my gear switches to harboring hatred and bitterness every time I hear hurtful words from my parent. And then I would say to myself, "Okay, if I can't endure this time, how can I endure the next time where situation is harder than this one?"
And then I would end up crying hoping for the Lord to rescue me...because I can't do this all alone.

Jotivation, I trust you, and your relationship with GOD. I hope you have time to advise me. What if you're following something written in GODs word, but once you began, everything that could go wrong, did? You feel like you're being prevented. Then you felt like you heard GOD tell you to do something. EVERYTHING in you is telling you not to use that method. You know that method is basically suicide. If I try to preserve myself, does this fall under selfish ambition? It's definitely not any of the other ones. I'm completely alone in the world, and transparently, I'm afraid. I want to follow GOD, but I'm unsure HE would ask me to do such a dangerous thing, but maybe HE did. 💔

What about hyper specific situations? Like an important quick decision like choosing careers or job opportunities. Sometimes life throws that whole "either now or never" moment and I always want to have some time to ask God and listen but i dont get an answer..and i dont want my own thoughts and wants to suddenly trick me into thinking its God talking when its just me talking in my head and aaah its such a pain sometimes ya know.
