I'm confused. You said on the roadmap, that Canon announced the RF 14-35 F4 lens, but I bought an EOS R6 with that lens a couple of weeks ago. So it's already out. Did I misunderstand the statement?

I have the Nikon 50 1.2 S. That 1.2 aperture comes in clutch for a lot of low-light wedding scenarios for me and I would love 35mm and 85mm versions at this aperture!

All I want is a RF 24mm 1.4 IS & RF 50mm 1.4 IS. Is this too much to ask! The 35mm 1.2 would be a cool lens too!

I reluctantly bought the “cheap” NOT-L series RF 35 1.8 and for $499 it’s incredible. It’s got the same image quality and bokeh (for my eyes, anyway) as my ultra expensive RF 70-200 L . The only thing I have to remember is that it’s not weatherized and rugged. I get spoiled using an R5 and my L-series RF lens, but if 1.8 and not-weather-proof is acceptable, I am thrilled with the quality of the cheap RF 35.

Ef 35 f/2.0 with IS is also a great lens, plus it comes with IS. Of course not „as sexy“ because it has the adapter in between, and fir photographers it is quite often about sexiness of their gear…

Hey Simon, love your video. I do agree with you about Canon being late, but at the same time this year has been worse with the chip shortage.

Either we get an announcement of a product that'll be available in 6 months or an announcement of a product that is ready to be shipped.

The two outstanding zooms certainly portend an upcoming crop sensor body. I'd at least consider it for vlogging. None of the outstanding lenses excite me; I want a fast 20mm prime to round out my kit. Oh well...

My dream list would be 20/21mm f2.8, 28mm f2.0 IS, 40mm f2.0 IS or f2.8 Pancake lenses. Weather sealed of course, at $500 ea. Not happening anytime soon but that's what I'm looking for. And an updated RP with a real battery and DPAF 4k video. That's it! I'm a simple guy!
