Did You Know In I, ROBOT…

Alex Proyas tried to make this movie with minimal jokes, and Will Smith even requested that this film be done without being as funny as his most recent films. The humor that was included in the film was done so in a way that they could edit it out if necessary. After test audiences saw the film as it was, it received some of the best ratings that the studio had ever seen, and that solidified this version of the film. Alex wanted to make a tell-all book about the hoops he had to go through with studio head Tom Roth, but he was warned that he wouldn’t be able to work in Hollywood again if he did. He never made the book, but this was still his last studio film.

But come on, the "did you just shoot towards me with your eyes closed?" Bit was pretty funny.

At the time I was unhappy with Dr. Calvin being young and good-looking, which doesn't fit her portrayal in the stories at all... but I have since learned a lot more about what kind of person Isaac Asimov was, and I think he would have approved.

I just starting re-reading The Caves of Steel, and it occurred to me that it has much more in common with this film than the I, Robot book does
