In this program, Ambassador John Bolton discussed the threats and opportunities posed by China and his ideas on what the United States must do to ensure that the 21st century does not become “The China Century.” Bolton served as the 26th National Security Advisor from 2018 to 2019, 25th Ambassador to the United Nations from 2005 to 2006, as a United States Assistant Attorney General for President Ronald Reagan from 1985 to 1989, in the State Department as Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs from 1989 to 1993 and Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Affairs from 2001 to 2005. Bolton is among the most important foreign policy and defense specialists of the last 35 years, and continues to be an influential political, defense and international policy expert.

Seems you missed “Real Politik” in your Yale education and international experience. There’s no way Russian leaders seriously contemplate restoring the Soviet Empire, but of course to deter NATO, EU, and progressive democracy expansion to Russia’s border. Second, perhaps Taiwan out to consider a preemptive war to capture the PRC.
