Keep in mind there are tons of other great IEM's under $100, these are just 3 that I think don't get enough recognition and are some of the best I personally have tried.

I remember how impressed I was with JVC's products going clear back to the mid 1980s when their boom boxes were amazing. At the same time they made a micro-cassette deck with metal tape capability (yes, on a micro-cassette) and a corresponding tuner in a pale gold metal cabinet which was just beautiful. Since then I have enjoyed their cassette "walkman" with built in manual EQ and I always check their offerings before making a purchase.

Great review! Thanks! I was leaning toward the Klipsch S4 before but was shocked at how they were coming apart from just normal use.

Shure Se215 trumps all of those. However they do bring you right up to that $100 price. Look them up you won't regret it.

I just bought the Xplosives and all I got to say is it's a very good earphone. The bass is clear and punchy, not at all muddied and they're very comfortable. They have good clarity and the noise isolation is amazing, you wouldn't be able to hear police sirens 30 ft away. I got the blue ones, they're a little smaller for some reason. 5/5 product, good review.

I used to have a Sony MDR-XB30EX for 2 years and now I just got myself the Sony MDR-XB50AP which features a 12mm driver. Both are fantastic from my experience and they're both under $50...

I bought the JVC Xtreme Xplosives for $40 off for $29. In Canada at Future Shop they retail for $69.99
I LOVE these headphones, but I enjoy all types of earphones. My basic Panasonics that were completely lacking in highs or bass were $19.99. What a difference $10 and a bit of research makes!
Build quality is extremely important to me, so I'm quite impressed so far. :)

I used to buy Skull Candy Inks at Marshalls and TJ Maxx for $6 because they sounded pretty goid compared to others i had before but they break way to fast. Either the connection to the ear bud or the input jack. Ehen my ipod was in my pocket it tends to move and since the jack wire was limp it would break, i found an L extension cable and that actually helps preserve any cable (oh yeah i broke some Ultimate Ears like that two). I recently got a Galaxy s3 and the Samsung headphones it came with are actually really nice sounding, the bass is nice and deep without to much and the highs are nice and clean.

Klipsch has a 2 year warranty and I've gotten new one three times already without paying a cent. Great sound and customer service. AND the replacements have their own 2 year warranty!

you can buy comply foam tips for practically any type of earbud. They fit in your ear better and isolate the sound better, giving you better sound quality. If I were you, go with the Klipsch buds that are in the video.

I paid like 8-12 dollars for skull candy ones. they last forever and the sound is great. What's the point in spending so much? If you loose the cheaper ones, it's not a problem. You just buy some new ones. There's no point to spend a lot of money.
