Unfortunately every road course round of the NASCAR schedule conlficts with a Grand Prix weekend, except for Watkins Glen. Maybe some F1 guys could get an Xfinity drive, that'd be sick!

Driven this track dozens of time and I grew up coming here with my dad for races. Its so cool seeing F1 drivers get a taste of it for the first time.

gotta love Magnussen's racer's mentality. Shows up for some tests and a fun media day and is immediately like "I want to drive this and I will figure out the rest as we go".

That man has absolutely zero fear and I think that it's a major reason for the morale shift at Haas F1 and one of the reasons the team has emerged as a lower-midfield points threat

They'd probably be more comfortable in the new NextGen car. Wider tires, bigger brakes, independent rear suspension. That is last years car which was using, basically, 60's technology.

Another difference to note: Nascar drivers regularly bump and occasionally intentionally wreck each other with no consequences. Cole Custer once was wrecked out from a win and tackled the person who wrecked him for the win. This resulted in a verbal warning. It’s culturally very different.

This is how f1 should market to the US. Not with big fake shows but by promoting with already existing and very well established American racing. It will bring in a better crowd too, of people who are actually interested in motorsport, not rich yuppies just hopping on to what's big
