4.1 Climate change and conflict risk - Irmeli Mustalahti

Climate change is a ‘threat-multiplier’ but understanding how it affects different dimensions of human life is crucial if we want to understand how to reduce its violence-inducing effect. This inter-disciplinary session brings together experts, which have built important bridges between research on climate change and policy, and examines how climate change is affecting food insecurity, trust, resource governance, and in turn how this is shaping patterns of violence and security.
