My birthday was yesterday and I just found out today or tomorrow we will be completely debt free, house and everything. We are both under 40 and on a single income.

Mr 65 year old gentleman. Enjoy your life as a single but you are going to run into situations and people in life where you will get the opportunity to be generous. Enjoy that aspect. It may be anything from buying groceries to an airline ticket for someone who lost their loved one. Cherish life I am at 72

Dear Mia, my first hubby passed away, so I meet a man & he was 49 & I was 40 we got pregnant & I told him ok Mister Im not gonna be 9 months & not be married we better do it now! So I was 3 months pregnant when we got married & we are still in love ❤with Jesus & each other!

I’m sorry that you lost your Dad but this is something that happens to every person on earth. People die everyday, everywhere. You need to stop making excuses. My daughter loved her Grandmother so much and got PTSD, anxiety, and panic attacks when she died. She went to work 12 hours days at Sonic and miraculously recovered.

I can’t imagine stockpiling 1.2 million into retirement to actually still consider a reverse mortgage for “fun money” at retirement age 😅

Dave, I also had that fear and sense of possible embarrassment that my check would not go through at the grocery store when my 4 children were young. I was too dum to know I didn't know it shouldn't be that way. Praise God for what you went through that has blessed millions of families with the lessons God has allowed you to learn and teach for us all to do money as God has commanded. I'm still in baby step 2 but there was once recently at the grocery store a young family with 3 little ones at the self checkout you could tell they were struggling to figure out what they should leave behind. I was able to help them. On my way out the checkout employee was by the door so i gave her cash to give that family advising her I know what it is to struggle please give them this gift. It was in God's hands to make sure it got to them but i am sure it did. the employee seemed a little surprised also.what a joy.I can't wait until I can do that more with true intent. What a joy it will be and hopefully I can bring my grandkids with me so they can also be apart of the joy of giving God gives.

I think the reverse mortgage question guy definitely needs to consider whether he might need expensive care at the end of life. I'm glad they mentioned that at the end!

I’m so glad Dave mentioned to one of the callers to put some of his $$ aside for home health instead of going to a facility, if he ever need it. I’m a therapist at an Inpatient rehabilitation hospital and the amount of people that are in situations that they wish they never had to go through at a time of sickness it’s heartbreaking.

I worked 35+ years with a heredity progressive vision & hearing loss. I went on disability retirement due to legal blindness 7 years ago at 50 yo. I have a very comfortable retirement. I’ve always wanted to work to be a contributing member of society. I don’t understand why people use a disability to not work!

To the guy who is 65 don't blow it all go have experiences. Maybe you will find a lady. 65 is the new 45. My grandma has a BF.

Thanks to all your advice about comparing price and coverage for our auto/home insurance my husband and I found an insurance company that gave us more coverage than we had and saved us $100 a month!!
Also cut cell phone in half.
We are one small balance away from being consumer debt free so we can start funding our emergency fund.
Then we’ll get with an investor pro to see what we can do to invest the 15%.
We are also selling 3 out of our 4 rentals and will be inheriting my share of the sale of my recently deceased daddy’s 2 rental properties.
My husband is 74 and disabled and I’m 67, so the inheritance is a blessing.
Our ultimate goal is to pay off our home mortgage 💸 and be able to stay in our home.
