You Won't Believe This - GIANT RTX 4080 Leak
Nvidia’s Lovelace based RTX 40 GPUs which includes the RTX 4090, 4080, 4070, and 4060 just had a big leak suggesting the RTX 4090 could be over 2x the performance of the RTX 3090. If this turns out to be true the Lovelace RTX 4090 and 4080 will likely be the biggest jump in GPU performance ever achieved by either Nvidia or AMD. Additionally we now have enough information to reveal the likely specs, performance, and release date for the RTX 4080.

The one thing that I'm concerned about is that I don't want to have to run my AC in the spring and the fall, because opening a window and maxing out my fan isn't enough to keep my room cool...

And then reality kicks in and you found out that it's actually only 60-70% better performance depending on the games vs the RTX3080 it's the same hype they were giving before the reviews for the RTX3080 came along and we found out that outside of the dreams of many tech enthusiasts they were never gonna hit the target 2.x performance of the 2080ti, as always it is best to wait until the reviewers get their hands on it and then we will get the real-world performance.

Ill stick with my old faithful rtx 2080 super until the 40 series rolls out. Planning on saving to grab a 4090

200% increase performance generation to generation seems about right. But, when you factor in thermals, and inefficiency, you end up at about 150-165% performance gain. The 3090 was 157% better than the 2080 Ti, and that card was almost 200% better than 2080 Ti in leaks and rumours.
