This song chokes me up. My wife passed on February 6, 2016. When I hear it, the memory flashback of coming home from work or gym and my sweetheart was out raking the leaves. I pull in the driveway, she walks over, she kisses me . I melt. I did for all 38 years of marriage and a few more before that. Those soft, warm brown eyes glinting over that smile that said to me, "I love you as much as you love me". How could I be so lucky? Why did that beautiful young girl choose me?? Now she is gone and the best i can do is to m listen to the old love songs that we both loved. She was younger than I but loved the same music. Goodbye sweetheart. I miss you so much.

I so love this song! The lyrics mean so much to me! My darling husband died suddenly of a fatal heart attack as we were in conversation. It was a huge shock! We used to collect all the leaves from the garden every year in Autumn as we had a lot of trees and it took a long time. I miss him so much.

I personally think 'Autumn Leaves' is the most beautiful song ever written. It touches your heart in a million ways and there's always another rendition, getting better and better or changing it completely, which shows how brilliantly versatile and striking it is. Nonetheless, I simply adore Paula Cole's version.
