Did you know that 70% of disabilities aren't obviously apparent? Because in my experience going to specialists, it seems like doctors don't know that... but anyway, if you're wondering what it's like to have invisible disabilities, this is the vid for you

Hello my dears!
My name is Sydney and I’m an actress/singer-songwriter who writes music about my experiences being autistic, disabled, gay, and in general, a human. My goal is to fill musical gaps and write about things people often forget to make music about. I’m also a vintage enthusiast and disability advocate (among other things). I’ve now released 3 albums and, most importantly, my favorite color is buttercup yellow.

ALL OF IT!!!. I was born with VACteRL Association, a whole host of medical issues. I have been in pain my entire life. Since birth. I do not know what pain free is like and my pain tolerance is so high I don't know what to do with those pain scales that i'm always asked about. People refuse to believe i've always been in pain. So many "old people problems" I'm like "yea ... had that as a child ...." because i've learned "old people problems" really means "mostly old people but some young ones too and the young ones will not be believed". I'm sorry for rambling. Just so much yes to all of it. I'm sure not knowing i'm autistic until my 30s didn't help either.

I feel so hurt and belittled. Constantly gaslit. Like nobody understands me. It hurts so badly, and it’s not just mental and it’s not just physical. It’s both.

I have some hidden disabilities. One of them is a physical disability. I’m afraid to say it publicly, because of how people look at that certain disability. I don’t know how you’d feel if I did share on here what my disability is. I just don’t want to have to deal with ignorant people asking me ignorant questions around that disability. And I don’t want to have to deal with idiots that are thinking that I’m faking, because I’m not.

Not so fun anecdote: I'm lying on the stretcher at the doctor's office, it's the visit after the first (useless) cycle of physiotherapy, the doctor lifts my left leg, she literally puts my foot next to my head, I'm lying on a stretcher in a full split, and she goes "she could work at the circus!" I'm actually hypermobile, it's part of the reason I'm in pain all the time, but yes let's joke about how I look like an acrobat lmao

Also what you said about zero pain… I would rather have zero pain than have to live my life like this. I respect your view tho.

I’ve been in pain for years too. Recently changed my diet away from being vegetarian. There’s a lot of misinformation about food out there. Check out Dr Anthony Chaffee’s YouTube channel and see if that resonates with you. I’ve slowly been able to come off of medications. I believe you and can relate to what you’re saying. I’ve had horrible experiences with seeing doctors too. Keep your head up. Trust in yourself. Check out Dr Ken Berry and Dr Shawn Baker. It has worked for me thus far.
