Then you must lose your life and follow after Him. Mat. 16:25 "For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it."

Jesus said if you want to be a son, you have to be peacemakers. We are commanded to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.

Matthew 5:43-45 "Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy: 44 but I say unto you, Love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you; 45 that ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust."

If you don't have works you don't have faith. James 2:18 "Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith apart from thy works, and I by my works will show thee my faith."

John 15:15 "No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known unto you."

The servants are those who don't know what God is doing. If they remain a servant having little interest in following after the Lord, they could be the ones that will fall away.

John 8:34-35 "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Every one that committeth sin is the bondservant of sin. 35 And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever: the son abideth for ever."

If our heart is right with God, we can come boldly to the throne of grace and know He will hear and will answer our prayers. All we need to do is confess our sins and agree with His Word to be justified by faith!
