Endometriosis is a frequent subject on the channel — but where does it come from?

We’ve talked quite a bit about the (sometimes debilitating) effects of endometriosis, but we haven’t done a deep dive into the theories about what causes it — or the stages of the disease as it progresses and its effect on fertility.

Until today!

An awesome viewer suggested the topic, so we’re talking about:

• The stages of endometriosis
• If symptoms correlate to different stages
• What advanced endometriosis means for fertility

Can endometriosis develop AFTER having kids or is it likely that the woman had it before kids? I had two kids; one vaginal and one c-section. A few years after my c-section, I had a growth in my stomach muscles. Literally in my muscle near where my c-section incision was. The mass was actually endometrial tissue, but it developed a cyst and that is why it become painful. A couple years after that, I had a bouncy ball sized polyp in my uterus and they gave me the whole cancer doom talk, but the polyp was just endometrial tissue. My doctor never put in my paperwork that I had endometriosis, but he did make a comment that by definition, I have endometriosis. I have had endometrial tissue that was very painful removed twice. Did not happen before I had kids though; only after.

Great information, if everything goes well this should do the job. But listen, there's one factor that's usually overlooked that can considerably speed up the process, unfortunately I do not have it at hand, but it can be go’ogled Dobbie Nerkstrol's Infertility Cure, I think.

found out about my endometriosis at 20. Was told I would never have kids. Surprise pregnancy at 23. Then a complete hysterectomy at 28. My question is do I still have endometriosis. My doctors have told me that it goes away after the hysterectomy, is this true? Cause i still have symptoms. Mine was stage 4 and at the time of my hysterectomy i was told it was on my bladder, colon and kidneys, everywhere in there. And that Oct or refused to touch it, so I tried seeking help from specialist and I’m just told no you had a hysterectomy so it just goes away. I’m so confused cause once a month i feel like I’m having a period, with pain, bloating, back pain. It’s so weird cause i know I’m not. Anything you can touch on with this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Seemed impossible but seeing how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I used what discussed the other day, well, it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish. I just go’ogled Tilly Strankten's Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.
