S7 here! Original Battery still in good shape. Never malfunctioned or failed. Everything runs perfect. I recommend to put a 128gb A2 micro sd and run apps from there. (Activating developer mode). Bought in 2017. More than 6 years of everyday use. Its outstanding.

I like my S7 very much. Storage is a problem as Samsung erased the feature to integrate a SD card as internal storage - nice move to ruin a great phone. But, as long as the phone is working I will not switch to another phone. Beside this: nice fact, that the resolution on the S7 ist better than seven years later :)

In the developer settings for the s7, you can find three 3 settings to do with animations in the drawing section. If you turn the animations off, the transition speeds and home button usage is much much faster.

Im still using my S7, i noticed there's not a huge difference in speed between this 2 devices. i was comparing the specs on the S7 vs S23 ultra and S7 shows to have more stuff on it, and of course the S23 ultra 200mp camera has no comparison.... my question is, should i upgrade to the S23 ultra?...if is not much of a difference i dont want to waste the money...correct me if im wrong.

I am phone shopping now, my first smart phone was the first Galaxy that I purchased in 2009 (I still have it in a drawer). Then I upgraded to the S7 in January of 2017. I hate shopping for phones!

I still own s7 edge, wouldn't switch to another model if it had 256gb storage and dual sim.

Loved my S7. Never failed me. But it's no longer supported for updates which forced me to upgrade because of apps and certain devices i need not supporting older androids. Money i didn't wanna spend because i just need what's necessary in a phone.

Still use my s7 edge as my only phone and dont plan on update before the s25 ultra comes next year. Then use smartswitch to transfer all the apps, settings etc.
