STICKY SESAME TOFU 💥

You don’t know what to cook with tofu… well this recipe is a good place to start with!😋
RECIPE (3 servings, 30min prep time):
-400g firm tofu
Tear into chunks.
-2 Tbsp corn starch
-salt to taste
-1/2 Tbsp oil
Toss and bake at 190C/360F for 17-20mins (air fryer: 15mins).
Alternatively: pan fry
Sauce:
-2 Tbsp ketchup
-2 Tbsp soy sauce
-2 Tbsp sugar
-2 Tbsp vinegar
-2 Tsp sesame oil
-1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Add to a pan, stir well and let it bubble until slightly thickened.
Add the tofu, coat it well and serve with extra sesame.
This pairs really nicely with rice and steamed broccoli or cucumber salad.☺️

In Stücke reißen.
-2 EL Maisstärke
-Salz nach Geschmack
-1/2 EL Öl
Vermischen und bei 190 °C 17–20 Minuten backen (Heißluftfritteuse: 15 Minuten).
Alternativ: in der Pfanne braten.
Sauce:
-2 EL Ketchup
-2 EL Sojasauce
-2 EL Zucker
-2 EL Essig
-2 TL Sesamöl
-1 EL geröstete Sesamkörner
In eine Pfanne geben, gut umrühren und köcheln lassen, bis die Sauce leicht andickt.
Den Tofu hinzufügen, gut umrühren und mit extra Sesam servieren.
Dazu passt besonders gut Reis und gedünsteter Brokkoli oder Gurkensalat. ☺️

just made this with a few swaps & it is delicious! (i used gochujang and some berry jam since i didn’t have ketchup) sauce is very punchy & this definitely needs something fresh to accompany it. i like this method of cooking tofu; the texture is great

By far the best tofu recipe ever.... I hits the spot. Perfect texture and sauce. It is not very crispy or chewy, which I like. But you can make it crispy if you keep it longer in the oven.

TOP recipe 🎉 my only issue is that following the amounts of the recipe the glaze is not enough to coat the tofu so generously and add flavour to the accompanying rice. I would say double the ingredients get me closer to the result shown in the video, but maybe I’m doing something wrong?

I just did this recipe and i'm eating as i comment. It is my first time trying tofu and i liked it very much! I might say it turned out a little bit salty, i might reduce the amount of shoyu next time or switch to light shoyu. Thanks for the recipes on your channel, it always motivate me to try new things or to try new ways of preparing food

I love your recipes! I've just started trying to cook with tofu, and it's been a little bit of a learning curve. How do you press out the extra liquid, and for how long? I tried pressing it bergen two plates with heavy objects and left it for an hour, and it still was fairly wet 😅 Any tips?

girl, you really need to visit North Asia, we have sooo many dishes made with tofu.
If you try every dish as a meal for the whole week, you may not even get the same one.
